Rev. Albert Barr

Rev. Albert A. Barr, 65, of Tunkhannock passed away on Monday morning, March 2, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp. He was born in Meadville, PA, on May 1, 1943, the son of Albert & Lillian Turner Barr.

He was married to the former Sandra Price Miller of Tunkhannock. He graduated Clemson University, Clemson, SC, and Anderson College, Anderson, SC. He traveled worldwide in Christian ministry for 40+ years. He was a beautiful artist, inventor and teacher (17 years at Hobe Sound Bible College in Florida). At the time of his death, he pastored the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Tunkhannock, and served as the administrator for the Endless Mountain Christian Academy.

  2. Glad to finally find something about him. God knows how much I miss him and wish that he hadn’t passed away, every now and then I would visit Sandra P.M. Barr because she’s my aunt, and we’d end up talking about Albert. I learned things about him I wouldn’t have known otherwise, such as the fact he loved the Narnia series.
